Flow meters & Flow monitors

We differentiate between flow indicators (flow is displayed for example through a rotating impeller), flow monitors (a contact is closed or open with flow) and flow meters (the flow can be displayed reproducible on a scale or even electronically analysed). Flow indicators or flow meters are usually designed only for a specific medium (oil, water or compressed air) and measure different values depending on the viscosity (cold/warm oil). The viscosity compensating devices work against this problem in a defined viscosity range.
