Guide cylinder
These guide cylinders are equipped with two integrated guides, that can accept lateral forces and allow repeatable positioning of the front plate. Depending on the travel speeds and mechanical loading, a choice can be made between ball bushing or slide bearing guide. The guided cylinders are equipped with a magnetic piston, which enables contactless scanning of the cylinder position using cylinder switches. Tip: The maximum permissible transverse load increases significantly due to design reasons with ball guided cylinders from a piston diameter of 32 mm and up and a stroke of 75 mm. The main mounting dimensions of the SGM series are identical with those of the SMC cylinder series MGPM.
